Phoenix Groups at Play (The GAP) is a Phoenix-based kink group that prides itself on being open and available to all members of the kink community. Our membership base spans most of the Valley (and beyond) including Phoenix, Mesa, Glendale, Buckeye, Tempe, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Laveen, Queen Creek, Peoria, and anywhere in between. So basically, if you’re within driving distance, and you’d like to come out for a cup of coffee some Tuesday evening, we’d love to have you!
Our coffees happen every Tuesday at 7:30 pm, at Hob Nobs Cafe on 3rd Avenue and McDowell near downtown Phoenix. Please note that this coffee includes very adult topics of kink and sexuality. Although we have no official position on children at the coffee, we ask that parents who want to bring their children think long and hard about exposing them to adult topics, especially if the children are old enough to understand some of the words. “Daddy, what’s “a rack” is funny in a comedy, but maybe not so much when your five-year-old asks you that in real life. Of course, the vanilla answer is that it is a nation in the middle east.
We do not currently have an east side social. We are all volunteers here, and there’s just not enough time. If someone wants to help us host one (we used Spokes in Tempe in the past), please talk to the leaders.
Attendance is free at the coffees, and food and drinks are available inside. Don’t forget to bring a few bucks to tip the amazing staff! They’ve done great things for us since we’ve started taking over their patio every week, and we appreciate it immensely.
Our parties happen on the 3rd Saturday of the month, and are hosted by our members on a rotating basis.
Attending a GAP Orientation is required to attend a party. We hold orientations at approximately 8:30 pm every Tuesday at coffee. We want you to have a chance to get to know people and have an understanding of the basic rules and expectations before we throw you into a play party setting. 😉
And finally, have you been wondering about our name? There are so many opposing groups in the valley, and the community in general. We’re just “The GAP”. The people in the middle. Many of us are members of one of the other groups in the valley. Some of us are members of ALL of them! We’re not exclusive; just the opposite. We’re the people that fall between the other groups, and a place for people of all of the groups to meet one another.
